Place needs to update and serve LESS frozen prepared stuff.
The waitstaff is outstanding here I'd give them five separate stars if I could because quite honestly they deserve it. Every time I go in this place there is some angry foreign guy in the kitchen yelling at everyone.
They serve a fantastic baked chicken & dressing on Sundays, and their breakfasts are really good except the sausage they serve is a little funky like brown and serve sausage.
The soups are all homemade, and are sometimes hit and miss flavorwise.  It's a pretty clean place. They probably should consider reducing their menu offerings-it's several pages long. All in all, not a bad little family restaurant.

The best part of meal was the roll and tea, fryer grease needs changed, chicken nasty, ribs were reheat from another week.

Small town dinner in Tipton. The staff is always so friendly and always on top of refilling our water glasses so that why I give them 4 stars. The food is typical of what you think of for a diner, nothing super amazing. Everything is always hot and tastes good. The soup changes daily and is homemade.

I have been coming here since I was a little girl. It's gone through renovations and everything. Every time I am in Tipton, I somehow end up here. The staff is friendly. It's fairly clean. They have let me charge my phone behind the bar and they have let me sit at the bar. I have ordered probably half of the menu. The last few times, our waitress hasn't seemed like she knows what she's doing, so I think that they have been having a lot of turnaround. It's nice that they have coloring books for the kids but it's pricey for kids to eat. My nephew had a little box of Fruit Loops (He ate from the box) and my brother said that it was $2. My older nieces and nephews split meals and get extra plates. There aren't free refills. It's always a fight to get kids to make their chocolate milk last, right? The food is good. I don't remember ever not liking something. The portions are big. We always comment on the portion sizes. It's easy to find parking and the wait seems fair. They accommodate large groups well. They don't mind splitting a large group into several checks. They don't plate food well though. It looks like they were in a rush and threw food on a plate. It would be nice if they put in the effort to make it look better. We usually forget that everything is done to the bare minimum and that the menu should be taken very literally. My sister ordered 2 peach crepes and she received 2, huge crepes...but they were stuffed with peach slices. She was expecting warm, peach pie filling and whipped cream. There were a lot of peaches though. The belgian waffle is good. The cheese omelet is good. The french toast is good. The cheeseburger is good. I try to get something worth the price that I am paying. My belgian waffle was $7 this morning. That's pricey to me. In a small town, you don't have a lot of options though and they have a little bit of everything, so that's probably why we almost always pick this place.

My family had breakfast here while visiting friends in Tipton, IA.  It was a great little spot for your typical breakfast foods - eggs, pancakes, omelet, sausage, bacon, coffee, etc.  The prices were perfect and service was great.  I wouldn't make a special trip to eat here, but wouldn't hesitate if I was in Tipton again.
